Indian Masala Chai is a fragrant and comforting spiced tea made by simmering black tea leaves with aromatic spices like ginger, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon in a blend of water and milk. Sweetened to taste, it’s the perfect companion for snacks or a cozy evening.

Ingredients
Water: 2 cups
Milk: 2 cups
Black tea leaves: 2 tsp
Sugar: 2–3 tsp (adjust to taste)
Ginger (crushed): 1 inch piece
Cardamom pods (crushed): 2
Cloves (optional): 2
Cinnamon stick (optional): 1 small piece
Black peppercorns (optional): 2–3
Fennel seeds (optional): ½ tsp

Step-by-Step Method
1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
2. Add crushed ginger, cardamom, and other whole spices (if using). Boil for 2–3 minutes to infuse flavor.
3. Add tea leaves and boil for another 2 minutes.
4. Pour in milk and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
5. Add sugar as per taste and stir well.
6. Strain the tea into cups and serve hot.
