Spiced Buttermilk (Chaas) is a refreshing and cooling Indian beverage made from curd, infused with roasted cumin, black salt, ginger, and herbs. Light, digestive, and packed with flavor, it's the perfect drink to beat the heat and accompany any spicy or heavy meal.

Ingredients
Curd (yogurt): 2 cups
Chilled water: 2 cups
Roasted cumin powder: 1 tsp
Black salt: ½ tsp
Ginger (grated): ½ tsp
Green chilli (optional): 1, finely chopped
Coriander leaves: 1 tbsp, chopped
Salt: To taste
Mint leaves (optional): 4–5 leaves

Step-by-Step Method
1. In a large bowl, whisk the curd until smooth.
2. Add chilled water and whisk again to form buttermilk.
3. Mix in roasted cumin powder, black salt, salt, grated ginger, and green chilli (if using).
4. Stir in chopped coriander and mint leaves. Mix well.
5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Stir well and serve chilled.
